Deadlines for LEAD educational requirements:
The deadline for completing each year’s educational requirements (see your academic review) is November 15. When you register for a course through PLBC’s Distance Education you receive a date for completion, however, this date is independent of the LEAD deadline of Nov 15. For the purpose of determining whether one’s academic obligations are fulfilled for a given year, LEAD goes by Nov 15 (so that there is time for the course to be processed and for academic progress reports to be generated and sent to each minister’s superior by early December). So please keep this date in mind but don’t forget your separate DE deadline either. Simply extending the DE deadline does not extend the LEAD deadline.
Course Availability:
All courses in the FMD curriculum are offered on campus or through the Distance Education Department of Pacific Life Bible College. A limited number of courses is offered at the FGCC annual conventions and also as regional intensives.
Course Enrollment:
Please contact Les Warriner for enrollment (see “Contacts”). If you are new to Pacific Life Bible College please complete also the short PLBC application for FGCC ministers (see “Downloads”).
Course Payment:
At the time of enrollment in the FMD program, a licensed Canadian Foursquare minister is offered by PLBC an instant tuition subsidy of 50%. The minister pays the remaining tuition of 50%, however, upon successful completion of the course with a GPA of 2.0 or higher, the LEAD program reimburses the minister for this temporary out-of-pocket tuition expense (does not include fees, books, etc). The final result is a tuition-free academic advancement which will benefit the minister and ultimately the people he/she serves.
Conditions for tuition reimbursement:
- You must be a licensed minister with the Canadian Foursquare Church.
- You must complete the PLBC course with a GPA of 2.0 or higher (this translates to a “C” or 73%).
- Upon pre-approval and availability of funds, you may take a course at another institution; however, LEAD then reimburses you for 50% of the tuition paid (upon successful completion). Your personal expense under this arrangement will be half the tuition plus books and fees.
- Following course completion, you should contact Thanos Karasmanis to claim your tuition reimbursement.
