Canadian Foursquare Missions is at convention! Feel free to stop by our table before and after sessions to pick up resources for your local church, to speak with somebody from our missions committee, and to meet Marcie Brazee, missionary to Germany, who is with us this week at convention. #cfm #FoursquareCanada
Please pray for Mozambique as cyclone "Kenneth" hit this past week. Torrential rain is still falling and making relief efforts difficult. One month ago this area was hit hard by cyclone Idai, causing more than 900 fatalities through Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe.
Foursquare Disaster Relief had a medical response team in Mozambique just last week, and they are now assessing how to assist as this second storm “Kenneth” is causing insult to injury.
Please pray for the Foursquare Disaster Relief teams as they prepare.

Recently, Costa Rica kids has been working in Jicotea with the amazing team from Pacific Life Bible College led by Pastor Derrick Sanderson and Ana Reyes. A special thank you to Josh and Diana for hosting everyone and to Pastor Mauricio and the church in Turrialba for partnering with the team.
This past Sunday, the team ministered at the church in Turrialba for Easter service. Pastor Derrick delivered a great message about not just receiving the gift of Jesus but also sharing that amazing gift with others!
John and Debbie Overholt were back in Central America once again to lead teams in ministering to the people of Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Check out John's video celebrating their past two weeks with the Gold River Mission team.
From March 29 to March 31, eight of us from the Rocky Mountain Prairie Unit and the South Fraser Unit departed for Kyiv, Ukraine via Frankfurt, Germany to provide children's ministry and strengthen connections with the Foursquare Church in Europe.
Lizzy Jorgensen, director of Canadian Foursquare Missions assembled the team at the invitation of the Foursquare Church in Europe. While there, she participated in the conference and connected with our missionaries while the rest of us were released to provide an age appropriate conference experience for the children in attendance.
We began our trip in Bühl, Germany with FMI Missionaries Brandon and Marcie Brazee. The Brazees hosted us by providing orientation, assisting with travel details, opening up discussions & giving perspective on missions, and getting us warmed up with a couple of projects.
On April 4th, all ten of us departed for Kyiv and got off to a fast start as we arrived just as the conference was beginning due to travel delays.
It didn't take long for the children at the conference to warm up to the idea of having their own space to come to. Pastor Chris of Cornerstone Calgary prepared indoor and outdoor activities, music, Bible learning, and ministry times for the children for all of us to facilitate.
During meal times and in transitions, we were encouraged to get to know some of the European missionaries and gain a better understanding of long-term missions in Foursquare.
We also were able to enjoy some cross-cultural experiences as a part of the conference.
Our time in Kyiv was great success! We had a hard time closing the doors to the children's space at the end of the conference because they wanted to stay. There were opportunities for each of us to connect specifically with and minister to each child individually. Parents were happy that their children were able to have their own conference experience.
If one thing was evident from our time with the children, it was how much our missionary kids need the prayers, support, and contact of others. One of the resounding themes we heard was the difficulty of fitting in at school. We spent time praying God's grace and protection over each of them in this area.
We also were reminded of how important it is to keep our missionaries front and center in our local churches. They also need our prayers, support, and contact.
There are ways we can reach out on special occasions, we can send them a treat from home that isn't available in their area, we can pray for them as they take on ministry challenges that go beyond their natural abilities-such as preaching in a second language or pioneering a new work. And we can also give financially anytime!
As you finish reading this post, please stop and take a moment to pray for our missionaries:
John and Anneli Kelly (children Aria and Levi) in Estonia.
Lana Davidson and husband John (children Gabriel and new baby Joshua) in Costa Rica.
Brandon and Marcie Brazee (children Kaitlyn and Hudson) in Germany.

This past Sunday, the remainder of the short-term missions team representing the Canadian Foursquare Missions committee arrived in Frankfurt, Germany to begin our assignment.
Team members are:
Elizabeth Jorgensen (Canadian Foursquare Missions Director/Summit Church Kimberly)
Joshua Jorgensen (Summit Church Kimberly)
Carolyn Crowell (Canadian Foursquare Missions Committee/New Life Cranbrook)
Timothy Crowell (New Life Cranbrook)
Danielle Rupp (New Life Cranbrook)
Mr. & Mrs. Chris Schollardt (Cornerstone Church Calgary Campus)
Kerry Lenuik (Open Door Foursquare Church Surrey)
The trip began on Friday as Lizzy and Josh left early to minister at the Foursquare Church in Bühl on Sunday. They had the opportunity to connect with Brandon and Marcie Brazee, our missionaries to Bühl, Germany as they prepared for the rest of the team to arrive.
The remainder of the team gathered in Calgary, AB on Saturday to get to know one another, prep, have dinner, and join together at the Cornerstone church in Calgary before departure. We were honored to have the church pray over us! Barry Marsten, Rocky Mountain Prairie Unit Supervisor, anointed us with oil and spoke a powerful word over our team prior to our Sunday evening flight.
Since we have arrived we have connected with our hosts, Brandon and Marcie Brazee. We have been receiving orientation, building relationships, praying, and preparing for the ministry we will be doing in the Ukraine. On Thursday, we will accompany the Brazees to the European Foursquare Convention in Kyiv, Ukraine. Our main responsibility will be to facilitate a Vacation Bible School during the convention for the children that will attend.
When we are not overseeing children's ministry, we will be connecting with the church in Europe, and working on some filming projects.
The team is coming together nicely and we are pleased to see how the giftings of each individual are complimentary to each one of the other team members.
We appreciate your continued prayers as we pack up tomorrow evening for more air travel on Thursday. Pray that our ministry supplies would arrive, for safety and health for the team, and for fruitful and effective ministry during our time in Kyiv.
