Designated or general giving to Canadian Foursquare Missions will help increase our support for this Zimbabwe project.
In Chidobe Ward, something powerful is unfolding. Through a ministry that weaves together practical care and spiritual investment, young women and girls are discovering renewed dignity, confidence, and purpose.
At the end of January, a simple yet impactful menstrual hygiene workshop became a turning point. As women and girls gathered, many for the first time learned how to safely manage their health using reusable sanitary pads. What began as a teaching session quickly became a space of openness, shared stories, and restored dignity. The response was overwhelming—so much so that requests for more workshops are now coming from across the community and local schools.
But the impact reaches far beyond physical health. These same girls are now stepping into spiritual leadership—praying together, sharing their faith, and inviting others to know Jesus. A new intercession group has formed, meeting regularly with a growing passion to see lives changed.
At the same time, over 200 girls are being equipped with the skills to make reusable sanitary pads—offering not only a solution for hygiene, but also a pathway toward sustainability and opportunity. What started with a small distribution has sparked widespread interest, as more in the community ask to be part of what is happening.
This is more than a program—it is transformation. Lives are being changed, hope is being restored, and a new generation is rising with both practical tools and spiritual purpose.
Our Foursquare leaders connect regularly with several villages. This started in 2013 and has many thriving village groups. The team teaches the families vital skills that bring the village together and help the families thrive and stay together verses sending children into the city and losing them to the sex industry. We saw first hand the results of years of work with several villages. Many families have started and continue to run their own businesses. They have learned to work together and support one another. They invest in each other and help each other out. Previously they would often isolate and not seek help and not help each other. The joy and self confidence that has resulted from successful groups working together is evident. As leaders with CFM we saw this first-hand as the families shared with us their stories of success and growth.
The Foursquare Girls Project recently established Community Pad Centres (CPCs) to provide training on menstrual hygiene management and distribute reusable sanitary pads:
Improved health and hygiene: Reusable pads promote better menstrual health and reduce the risk of infections
Enhanced education: Girls can attend school and church with confidence. without worrying about menstrual related absences
Empowered Girls: Reusable pads can help girls manage their menstruation with dignity, promoting self-esteem and confidence.
By supporting these type of initiatives you can make a positive impact on their lives and those of other girls and young women in remote areas. Designated donations to this project will help purchase more material - expanding their outreach and even open up new Community Pad Centres. Each centre (set-up in a Church building space) is budgeted at $1,800
