Our Foursquare leaders in the Victoria Falls area lead a vibrant work that targets those caught in the world of sex trafficking in Victoria Falls and surrounding areas.  We have a personal connection with a longtime Foursquare leader on the ground there.

Our team works with the community leaders and target problem areas. Together they are providing a medical clinic within feet of the known district for trafficking so the girls can get medical help.  The girls who are open to becoming self sufficient and leaving the sex industry can opt to work with our leaders in the girls program they have developed.  This includes workshops for self-care, inner healing, practical resources and options to get involved in the 'Chicken Project'.

The 'Chicken Project' teaches the girls how to run a thriving business, by running a business together.  As they journey through the project, they learn about business, they run the project and profit from the project.  As each girl gets ready to graduate, she chooses a business to start and some of her profit from the Chicken Project gets invested into her new business.

One of the girls obtained her drivers license and training to become a driver.  This is a popular business for men, and a challenging endevour for a woman to start in that area.  We can be praying for favour for her and success in her business.

Another young woman is starting a Book Shop!

We have one girl who now has a Beauty Salon where she is popular with braiding.

Others have stands in the local market where they are now selling baskets and other items they are sourcing.  We have a connection with the owner of the market and they give the girls a space for free.

Village Ministry
Addressing the root causes that send girls into sex trafficking.

Our Foursquare leaders connect regularly with several villages.  This started in 2013 and has many thriving village groups.  The team teaches the families vital skills that bring the village together and help the families thrive and stay together verses sending children into the city and losing them to the sex industry.   We saw first hand the results of years of work with several villages.  Many families have started and continue to run their own businesses.  They have learned to work together and support one another.  They invest in each other and help each other out.  Previously they would often isolate and not seek help and not help each other.  The joy and self confidence that has resulted from successful groups working together is evident.  As leaders with CFM we saw this first-hand as the families shared with us their stories of success and growth.

Community Pad Centres
Menstrual Health

The Foursquare Girls Project recently established Community Pad Centres (CPCs) to provide training on menstrual hygiene management and distribute reusable sanitary pads:

  • Sanitary pad distribution: Providing access to affordable, hygienic sanitary pads to help alleviate some of the challenges.
  • Menstrual education: Educating girls and community members about menstruation can help reduce stigma and promote understanding.
  • Community engagement: Engaging with women in the Church to promote menstrual hygiene and support girls' education to help address social impacts.
Outcomes

Improved health and hygiene: Reusable pads promote better menstrual health and reduce the risk of infections

Enhanced education: Girls can attend school and church with confidence. without worrying about menstrual related absences

Empowered Girls: Reusable pads can help girls manage their menstruation with dignity, promoting self-esteem and confidence.

By supporting these type of initiatives you can make a positive impact on their lives and those of other girls and young women in remote areas.  Designated donations to this project will help purchase more material - expanding their outreach and even open up new Community Pad Centres.  Each centre (set-up in a Church building space) is budgeted at $1,800
